Capital Goods shares fall
Capital Goods stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index falling 247.18 points or 1.37% at 17794.89 at 13:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (down 5.65%), HEG Ltd (down 3.63%),Sadbhav Engineering Ltd (down 3.35%),Graphite India Ltd (down 3.18%),Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (down 2.76%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Havells India Ltd (down 2.61%), Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (down 1.84%), Carborundum Universal Ltd (down 1.65%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd (down 1.4%), and NBCC (India) Ltd (down 1.36%).
On the other hand, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (up 0.47%), Finolex Cables Ltd (up 0.45%), and Grindwell Norton Ltd (up 0.42%) moved up.
At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 124.81 or 0.33% at 37798.12.
The Nifty 50 index was up 31.6 points or 0.28% at 11206.35.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 71.03 points or 0.55% at 12737.63.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 5.61 points or 0.13% at 4310.65.
On BSE,907 shares were trading in green, 1423 were trading in red and 217 were unchanged.
