Capital Goods stocks edge higher
Capital Goods stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index increasing 8.64 points or 0.05% at 17648.77 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, V-Guard Industries Ltd (up 1.22%), Bharat Electronics Ltd (up 1.14%), Finolex Cables Ltd (up 0.75%), Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (up 0.55%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd (up 0.33%), and Honeywell Automation India Ltd (up 0.3%), were the top gainers.
On the other hand, AIA Engineering Ltd (down 1.58%), Bharat Forge Ltd (down 1.43%), and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (down 1.35%) turned lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 160.76 or 0.39% at 41037.9.
The Nifty 50 index was down 56.95 points or 0.47% at 12072.55.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 54.48 points or 0.37% at 14786.21.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 21.19 points or 0.42% at 5069.77.
On BSE,543 shares were trading in green, 781 were trading in red and 63 were unchanged.
