Capital Goods stocks edge lower

Capital Goods stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index decreasing 112.73 points or 0.63% at 17691.69 at 13:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (down 2.14%), Bharat Electronics Ltd (down 2.06%),NBCC (India) Ltd (down 1.47%),SKF India Ltd (down 1.22%),Honeywell Automation India Ltd (down 1.12%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Larsen & Toubro Ltd (down 1.05%), Grindwell Norton Ltd (down 0.92%), V-Guard Industries Ltd (down 0.82%), Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (down 0.74%), and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (down 0.52%).

On the other hand, Schaeffler India Ltd (up 4.16%), HEG Ltd (up 2.03%), and Carborundum Universal Ltd (up 1.9%) turned up.

 

At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 51.37 or 0.13% at 40940.6.

The Nifty 50 index was up 19.6 points or 0.16% at 12093.35.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 27.15 points or 0.2% at 13489.42.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 0.85 points or 0.02% at 4708.75.

On BSE,1124 shares were trading in green, 1210 were trading in red and 176 were unchanged.
