Capital Goods stocks edge lower

Capital Goods stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index decreasing 96.64 points or 0.57% at 16813.12 at 13:52 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, HEG Ltd (down 12.26%), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (down 5.84%),Graphite India Ltd (down 5.1%),Siemens Ltd (down 4.53%),Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (down 3.02%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Finolex Cables Ltd (down 2.77%), Grindwell Norton Ltd (down 2.23%), AIA Engineering Ltd (down 2.07%), Bharat Electronics Ltd (down 1.99%), and SKF India Ltd (down 1.15%).

On the other hand, NBCC (India) Ltd (up 3.27%), Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (up 0.9%), and Carborundum Universal Ltd (up 0.56%) turned up.

 

At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 332.94 or 0.81% at 41549.08.

The Nifty 50 index was up 84.55 points or 0.7% at 12192.45.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 36.53 points or 0.25% at 14713.42.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 2.42 points or 0.05% at 5102.91.

On BSE,897 shares were trading in green, 1442 were trading in red and 165 were unchanged.
