Capital Goods stocks rise

Capital Goods stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index increasing 92.79 points or 0.54% at 17170.18 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Larsen & Toubro Ltd (up 0.84%), Schaeffler India Ltd (up 0.84%),Siemens Ltd (up 0.7%),Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (up 0.57%),Havells India Ltd (up 0.53%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were HEG Ltd (up 0.53%), Thermax Ltd (up 0.45%), Finolex Cables Ltd (up 0.43%), V-Guard Industries Ltd (up 0.35%), and Graphite India Ltd (up 0.32%).

On the other hand, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (down 2.36%), Carborundum Universal Ltd (down 0.86%), and Sadbhav Engineering Ltd (down 0.44%) turned lower.

 

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 94.53 or 0.23% at 41768.45.

The Nifty 50 index was up 29.1 points or 0.24% at 12288.8.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 48.78 points or 0.36% at 13444.21.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 14.6 points or 0.31% at 4718.21.

On BSE,861 shares were trading in green, 465 were trading in red and 65 were unchanged.
