Healthcare shares gain
Healthcare stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index rising 86.79 points or 0.66% at 13315.84 at 09:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Laurus Labs Ltd (up 6.07%), Shilpa Medicare Ltd (up 4.98%),Gufic BioSciences Ltd (up 4.03%),RPG Life Sciences Ltd (up 3.71%),Shalby Ltd (up 2.79%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Piramal Enterprises Ltd (up 2.46%), IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 2.44%), Albert David Ltd (up 2.27%), Nectar Lifescience Ltd (up 2.08%), and Wockhardt Ltd (up 2.07%).
On the other hand, Indoco Remedies Ltd (down 3.48%), Dr Lal Pathlabs Ltd (down 3.07%), and Hester Biosciences Ltd (down 2.71%) moved lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 59.65 or 0.15% at 40188.7.
The Nifty 50 index was up 7.15 points or 0.06% at 11884.6.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 85.4 points or 0.63% at 13643.45.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 30.14 points or 0.64% at 4718.29.
On BSE,1010 shares were trading in green, 471 were trading in red and 74 were unchanged.
