Consumer Durables shares slide
Consumer Durables stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index falling 212.28 points or 0.79% at 26801.97 at 13:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (down 1.19%), Titan Company Ltd (down 1.09%), Voltas Ltd (down 0.95%), V I P Industries Ltd (down 0.67%), Whirlpool of India Ltd (down 0.64%), and Bajaj Electricals Ltd (down 0.17%), were the top losers.
On the other hand, Metropolis Healthcare Ltd (up 1.8%), Symphony Ltd (up 1.09%), and TTK Prestige Ltd (up 0.65%) moved up.
At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 314.41 or 0.79% at 40146.25.
The Nifty 50 index was up 89.2 points or 0.76% at 11876.05.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 76.01 points or 0.57% at 13459.61.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 31.92 points or 0.69% at 4625.03.
On BSE,1309 shares were trading in green, 1012 were trading in red and 169 were unchanged.
