FMCG shares jump

FMCG stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index rising 80.42 points or 0.66% at 12326.36 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd (up 9.75%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd (up 8.8%),Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd (up 7.21%),Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd (up 6.72%),Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd (up 4.14%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd (up 4.02%), Eveready Industries India Ltd (up 3.87%), Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd (up 3.69%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries Ltd (up 3.27%), and ADF Foods Ltd (up 3.1%).

 

On the other hand, L T Foods Ltd (down 1.92%), Agro Tech Foods Ltd (down 1.81%), and Avanti Feeds Ltd (down 1.09%) moved lower.

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 59.65 or 0.15% at 40188.7.

The Nifty 50 index was up 7.15 points or 0.06% at 11884.6.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 85.4 points or 0.63% at 13643.45.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 30.14 points or 0.64% at 4718.29.

On BSE,1010 shares were trading in green, 471 were trading in red and 74 were unchanged.
