Information Technology stocks rise
Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index increasing 113.34 points or 0.89% at 12867.32 at 09:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Newgen Software Technologies Ltd (up 5.51%), Expleo Solutions Ltd (up 4.99%),Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (up 4.97%),Tanla Solutions Ltd (up 4.91%),Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (up 4.85%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were HCL Infosystems Ltd (up 3.7%), AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (up 3.66%), Intellect Design Arena Ltd (up 2.65%), Sasken Technologies Ltd (up 2.63%), and Mindtree Ltd (up 2.02%).
On the other hand, Subex Ltd (down 4.6%), Cigniti Technologies Ltd (down 3.87%), and L&T Technology Services Ltd (down 3.78%) turned lower.
At 09:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 542.48 or 1.74% at 30617.14.
The Nifty 50 index was down 161.65 points or 1.77% at 8950.25.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 192.17 points or 1.87% at 10101.58.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 71.55 points or 1.96% at 3577.98.
On BSE,649 shares were trading in green, 947 were trading in red and 107 were unchanged.
