Information Technology shares gain

Information Technology stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 116.33 points or 0.78% at 15122.15 at 09:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (up 5.48%), 3i Infotech Ltd (up 3.54%),Sonata Software Ltd (up 2.48%),Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (up 2.48%),Mindtree Ltd (up 2.36%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Newgen Software Technologies Ltd (up 2.33%), HCL Infosystems Ltd (up 2.27%), Nucleus Software Exports Ltd (up 2.05%), Firstsource Solutions Ltd (up 1.79%), and Mastek Ltd (up 1.61%).

On the other hand, NIIT Ltd (down 4.74%), CESC Ventures Ltd (down 2.8%), and Datamatics Global Services Ltd (down 2.15%) moved lower.

 

At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 2.55 or 0.01% at 41007.16.

The Nifty 50 index was down 8.85 points or 0.07% at 12077.85.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 41.03 points or 0.31% at 13373.69.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 5.13 points or 0.11% at 4712.15.

On BSE,812 shares were trading in green, 594 were trading in red and 91 were unchanged.
