Information Technology shares gain

Information Technology stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 138.02 points or 0.96% at 14508.33 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (up 4.28%), Tanla Solutions Ltd (up 3.29%),TVS Electronics Ltd (up 2.52%),HCL Technologies Ltd (up 2.26%),NELCO Ltd (up 1.71%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were NIIT Ltd (up 1.65%), Mphasis Ltd (up 1.18%), Tata Elxsi Ltd (up 1.18%), Tech Mahindra Ltd (up 1.08%), and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (up 1.04%).

On the other hand, Newgen Software Technologies Ltd (down 15.9%), CESC Ventures Ltd (down 2.34%), and eClerx Services Ltd (down 2.09%) moved lower.

 

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 1.76 or 0% at 38965.6.

The Nifty 50 index was up 0.5 points or 0% at 11588.85.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 13.3 points or 0.1% at 13203.67.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 2.4 points or 0.05% at 4505.66.

On BSE,721 shares were trading in green, 651 were trading in red and 57 were unchanged.
