Information Technology shares tumble

Information Technology stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index falling 1001.64 points or 6.48% at 14451.96 at 13:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Infosys Ltd (down 14.65%), L&T Technology Services Ltd (down 8.74%),Zensar Technologies Ltd (down 6.56%),Cyient Ltd (down 5.53%),Newgen Software Technologies Ltd (down 3.75%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were HCL Technologies Ltd (down 3.55%), Sasken Technologies Ltd (down 3.52%), Zen Technologies Ltd (down 3.17%), Expleo Solutions Ltd (down 2.66%), and Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd (down 2.32%).

On the other hand, Tanla Solutions Ltd (up 4.97%), Sonata Software Ltd (up 3.43%), and Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (up 2.84%) moved up.

 

At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 248.72 or 0.63% at 39049.66.

The Nifty 50 index was down 37.6 points or 0.32% at 11624.25.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 45.78 points or 0.35% at 13172.61.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 4.86 points or 0.11% at 4508.46.

On BSE,1241 shares were trading in green, 1137 were trading in red and 197 were unchanged.
