Healthcare shares gain

Healthcare stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index rising 137.52 points or 0.94% at 14690.86 at 09:52 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 10.13%), Take Solutions Ltd (up 9.97%),Natco Pharma Ltd (up 8.06%),IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 7.52%),Medicamen Biotech Ltd (up 6.37%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Vivimed Labs Ltd (up 5.95%), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd (up 5.84%), Shilpa Medicare Ltd (up 4.99%), Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (up 4.97%), and Lupin Ltd (up 4.8%).

On the other hand, RPG Life Sciences Ltd (down 9.69%), Morepen Laboratories Ltd (down 9.5%), and Kilitch Drugs (India) Ltd (down 6.13%) moved lower.

 

At 09:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 542.48 or 1.74% at 30617.14.

The Nifty 50 index was down 161.65 points or 1.77% at 8950.25.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 192.17 points or 1.87% at 10101.58.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 71.55 points or 1.96% at 3577.98.

On BSE,649 shares were trading in green, 947 were trading in red and 107 were unchanged.
