Oil and Gas shares fall

Oil and Gas stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index falling 51.3 points or 0.35% at 14724.75 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 2.13%), GAIL (India) Ltd (down 1.94%), Petronet LNG Ltd (down 1.23%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 0.81%), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (down 0.68%), and Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (down 0.04%), were the top losers.

On the other hand, Indraprastha Gas Ltd (up 1.98%), Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (up 1.91%), and Reliance Industries Ltd (up 0.71%) moved up.

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 37.2 or 0.09% at 41909.93.

 

The Nifty 50 index was up 8.5 points or 0.07% at 12351.8.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 115.98 points or 0.8% at 14649.84.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 34.83 points or 0.7% at 5011.92.

On BSE,1416 shares were trading in green, 966 were trading in red and 171 were unchanged.
