Oil and Gas shares slide
Oil and Gas stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index falling 80.13 points or 0.54% at 14753.44 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Castrol India Ltd (down 2.12%), GAIL (India) Ltd (down 1.92%),Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 0.99%),Petronet LNG Ltd (down 0.81%),Indraprastha Gas Ltd (down 0.74%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 0.66%), and Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (down 0.48%).
On the other hand, Reliance Industries Ltd (up 0.32%), and Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (up 0.18%) moved up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 152.42 or 0.37% at 41504.59.
The Nifty 50 index was up 36.05 points or 0.3% at 12201.05.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 14.43 points or 0.11% at 13379.34.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 23.47 points or 0.5% at 4685.52.
On BSE,1053 shares were trading in green, 1273 were trading in red and 177 were unchanged.
