Quick Wrap: Nifty Financial Services Index declines 3.06%

Nifty Financial Services index ended down 3.06% at 8651.7 today. The index is down 10.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Ltd slipped 6.42%, Shriram Transport Finance Company Ltd dropped 5.90% and Axis Bank Ltd fell 5.67%. The Nifty Financial Services index is down 34.00% over last one year compared to the 22.46% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Private Bank index is down 2.85% and Nifty Bank index has dropped 2.57% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.74% to close at 9039.25 while the SENSEX is down 0.84% to close at 30672.59 today.
