Quick Wrap: Nifty Financial Services Index rises 9.32%, NIFTY jumps 6.62%

Nifty Financial Services index closed up 9.32% at 9203.3 today. The index is down 35.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd gained 25.94%, Shriram Transport Finance Company Ltd jumped 16.93% and ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Ltd added 15.75%. The Nifty Financial Services index is down 25.00% over last one year compared to the 27.57% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Bank index added 8.03% and Nifty Private Bank index increased 8.01% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 6.62% to close at 8317.85 while the SENSEX added 6.98% to close at 28535.78 today.
