Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index falls 3.36%

Nifty IT index closed down 3.36% at 28137.65 today. The index has slipped 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Infosys Ltd dropped 4.50%, L&T Technology Services Ltd shed 4.26% and Coforge Ltd fell 3.76%. The Nifty IT index has fallen 21.00% over last one year compared to the 3.59% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index gained 1.74% and Nifty Metal index gained 1.58% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.37% to close at 18003.75 while the SENSEX has slid 0.37% to close at 60346.97 today.
