Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index records a surge of 2.37%

Nifty Pharma index ended up 2.37% at 12982.35 today. The index has added 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Zydus Lifesciences Ltd jumped 5.24%, Lupin Ltd added 5.15% and Ipca Laboratories Ltd gained 4.81%. The Nifty Pharma index has decreased 11.00% over last one year compared to the 6.91% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index has slid 1.75% and Nifty IT index gained 1.24% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.04% to close at 17382 while the SENSEX has declined 0.09% to close at 58298.8 today.
