Real Estate shares slide
Real Estate stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Realty Index index falling 144.45 points or 5.72% at 2381.72 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Realty Index index, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd (down 9.2%), Godrej Properties Ltd (down 7.59%),DLF Ltd (down 7.24%),Oberoi Realty Ltd (down 5.15%),Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd (down 4.21%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Phoenix Mills Ltd (down 3.28%), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd (down 1.98%), Sobha Ltd (down 1.3%), and Sunteck Realty Ltd (down 1.01%).
On the other hand, Omaxe Ltd (up 0.42%), moved up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 680.81 or 1.67% at 40042.68.
The Nifty 50 index was down 197.45 points or 1.65% at 11764.65.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 234.04 points or 1.6% at 14433.92.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 84.97 points or 1.69% at 4951.14.
On BSE,672 shares were trading in green, 1477 were trading in red and 114 were unchanged.
