Volumes jump at Sheela Foam counter

Bannari Amman Spinning Mills, Piramal Enterprises, Emami Paper Mills and GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 17 January 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 316.58 points or 0.91% at 35,087.63.

Sheela Foam clocked volume of 53,000 shares by 14:55 IST on BSE, a 149.67-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 354 shares. The stock shed 0.18% to Rs 1639.95.

Bannari Amman Spinning Mills notched up volume of 3.18 lakh shares, a 108.77-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock surged 5.17% to Rs 361.80.

 

Piramal Enterprises saw volume of 7.03 lakh shares, a 65.58-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 11,000 shares. The stock gained 2.28% to Rs 2,862.35.

Emami Paper Mills clocked volume of 56.25 lakh shares, a 43.54-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.29 lakh shares. The stock lost 7.11% at Rs 210.50.

GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare saw volume of 57,000 shares, a 41.5-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 443 shares. The stock rose 0.07% to Rs 6,519.95.
