Bengal poll panel moves Supreme Court

The stalemate over holding the Panchyat polls in West Bengal Wednesday reached the apex court with the State Election Commission (SEC) moving the Supreme Court.

"We have moved the Supreme Court. We are in the process of informing the Calcutta High Court," SEC counsel Lakshmichand Biyani told the media.
