Boy murdered by neighbour

A 12-year-old boy was murdered by his neighbour in the old city of Hyderabad, police said on Thursday.

The body of Uroojuddin Ahmed, a madarsa student, was found in a lake in Mylardevpalli area. Police have taken a Muneer into custody, who confessed to the crime.

The body was recovered on Thursday after the youth confessed to the crime and led the police to the scene.

A police officer said the motive of the crime and other details would be known after recording the statement of the accused.
