China stocks close higher

Chinese shares closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 3.28 percent to end at 3,287.66 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose four percent to close at 10,961.36 points, Xinhua news agency reported.

The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 4.52 percent to close at 2,316.78 points.
