Kanye West needs spiritual, mental help, says collaborator

Rapper Kanye West's longtime collaborator Rhymefest says the rapper needs "spiritual and mental help".

Che 'Rhymefest' Smith, who co-wrote tracks including "New Slaves" and "Jesus Walks" with West, has revealed that he has stopped working with him and is worried after his recent outbursts, including a barrage of controversial tweets, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

When one Twitter user wrote: "I wish @RHYMEFEST was co-writer of #KanyeWest's Twitter and media statements. Worked with the music, should work with the other stuff, right?", Rhymefest replied by saying: "My brother needs help, in the form of counseling. Spiritual and mental. He should step away from the public and yesmen and heal (sic)."

 

He added: "I love my brother. I pray for his health not our entertainment (sic)."

Another fan wrote: "Please start back writing Kanye's lyrics".

To that, the rapper replied: "Nah his mind and spirit isn't right (sic)."

West recently engaged in a Twitter feud with Wiz Khalifa, and even revealed his new song "Famous" which includes the lyrics "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex... I made that bitch famous."

The lines are a reference to the outrage after he stormed on stage and interrupting Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
