A 55-year-old man was arrested for repeatedly raping his 15-year-old daughter over the past few months, police said Friday.
According to police, the victim was staying with her father, who was estranged with her mother a year back after marital discord, at a house in Kanjhawala area in north Delhi. Her mother was staying in another area with two other children.
The victim told about the assault to her mother Wednesday when she came to meet her.
"She told her mother that her father sexually assaulting her for several months," said a police officer.
The accused, Janaki, was arrested Thursday after medical examination of the girl confirmed rape, the officer added.
