A man was booked in Gurgaon for hacking his wife's Facebook account and sending objectionable messages to her friends, police said on Wednesday.

Sachin Jindal from Faridabad was booked under Section 66A of the Information Technology Act after his wife, a resident of Gurgaon, registered an FIR, the police said.

The couple has some marital dispute. The victim said her Facebook account's password was changed on April 14 and she complained to the cyber crime detection cell after failing to login.

Her friends said objectionable messages were being received from her account.

"After an investigation it was found that Jindal changed the password and uploaded insulting posts," Assistant Commissioner of Police Hawa Singh told IANS.

"We have registered a case and he will be arrested soon," he said.
