Modi lauds historic detection of gravitational waves

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed his happiness over historic detection of gravitational waves and lauded role of Indian scientists in the project.

"Historic detection of gravitational waves opens up new frontier for understanding of universe," Modi said in a tweet.

"Immensely proud that Indian scientists played an important role in this challenging quest," he added.
