Two people, including a nurse and a health assistant, were arrested Wednesday after the death of a newborn child and its mother at a private clinic run by fake doctors, police said. Three of the quacks are absconding.
The incident occurred at Bhawani hospital at Hilsa in Nalanda district where the woman had been brought for giving birth, said police.
After family members and relatives of the deceased protested and demanded arrest of the accused, they fled from the hospital.
A family member of deceased told police that both the mother and her newborn child died due to negligence of the fake doctors.
