El Nino vs El Modi

Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior vice-president and operating head (sales and marketing) at Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, is hopeful that the Modi magic would neutralise the ill effects of the "below normal" monsoon this season, as forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). When asked about the impact of the El Nino phenomenon - on which the IMD has pinned the blame for its low forecast - on two-wheeler sales, Guleria said he was hopeful that El Modi would have a far bigger - and hopefully positive - impact than El Nino.
