Gubernatorial grudge

As the Congress party’s high command has decided to appoint national security advisor MK Narayanan as governor of West Bengal, the CPI-M brass is unhappy. CPI-M leaders have not forgotten that Narayanan earned his spurs as a junior functionary in the intelligence set-up of the Indian Police Service by getting the first ever democratically-elected communist party government in the world, that of EMS Namboodiripad in Kerala, dislodged.
