Indo-Pak joint venture against terrorism in theatre

India may not play Pakistan in the cricket field, but the two countries are collaborating elsewhere. Two days ago, Bulla, a Pakistani play was staged at the 10-day International Theatre Festival of Kerala at the Indoor Stadium in Thrissur. Since a few key actors could not make it, the director brought in three Indian actors and the play turned out to be an Indo-Pak joint venture against terrorism. Bulla, based on Sufi culture, has had its share of critics and could not be staged in various parts of Pakistan — bombs exploded at one of the venues planned near Lahore.
