One person was killed and his cousin brother injured when some miscreants opened fire at them in their house at Kadilur village, over some minor dispute, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday under Bhopa police station area when miscreants entered the victims' house and opened fire on the two, they said.
They were rushed to a hospital, where Anil (22) was declared brought dead while his cousin Ankur (25) was stated to be in a serious condition, they said.
Irate locals blocked the road in protest, they said, adding, additional police force was deployed in the area after the incident.
A case has been registered in this connection and further investigation is on.
