12 women labourers hurt in road accident

As many as 12 women labourers were injured in a road accident today at Marripally cross roads in Kamalapur mandal, 60 kms from here, police said today.
According to Kamalapur Sub Inspector P Ganesh, about 20 women labourers were travelling in a trolley auto rickshaw (goods carrier) from Marripalligudem village to Warangal, for work when the mishap occured.
When the trolley autorickshaw reached Marripally cross roads, a state road transport bus coming from the opposite direction hit the auto, resulting in injuries to 12 women labourers, the Sub Inspector, said.
The accident took place around 8 AM and immediately the injured were admitted to MGM (Mahatma Gandhi Memorial) Hospital at Warangal, police said.
