2 killed, 3 injured after car mounts road divider

Two people were killed and three others injured when the car they were travelling in mounted a road divider and overturned in Rajasthan's Pali district, police said today.

The accident happened late last night when the occupants of the vehicle were on their way to Jodhpur from Udaipur.

Nishal Negi, 20, and Tarun Bansal, 28, died in the accident. Three others were injured, the police said.

The bodies were handed over to the family members of the deceased after a postmortem examination today, they said.

The people injured were stated to be stable.
