Two children died, while as many others fell seriously ill after they consumed pesticide tablets in Zarifnagar area here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when the four children Sumit (5), Ramkishen (6), Pinki (6) and Rashmi (6) found some pesticide tablets at home and ate them while playing, police said.
As soon as they consumed the tablets their condition started deteriorating and they were rushed to a hospital, where Sumit and Ramkishen died during the treatment today, they said.
Condition of Pinki and Rashmi was stated to be serious, said police.
