Three persons lost their lives today when their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle from behind on National Highway-15 at Ghoramari under Salanibari police outpost in Sonitpur district, police said.
Of them, two died on the spot while the third lost his life on the way to hospital, a police official said.
One person has been identified as James Tapno from Puniani village of Solmara, while the other two are yet to be recognised, the official said.
He added that an operation to nab the errant vehicle is on.
