3 killed as car crashes into pedestrians in UK town

Three people have been killed and another critically injured when a car hit pedestrians in Doncaster region of northern England.

Two women aged 53 and 54, and a 59-year-old man died following the crash last night in the town of Askern.

Another man has been admitted in hospital with life-threatening injuries, South Yorkshire Police said.

The car driver has been arrested and is being questioned. The deceased are yet to be identified.
