3 sentenced to life in prison for raping minor

Three persons were today sentenced to life imprisonment by a local court for raping a minor girl seven years ago.

Veer Bahadur, Chandrapal and Deshraj were given life term by Additional District Judge (VI) SN Tripathi for raping the 16-year-old girl in Sirasaul Patti village of Bilsi area here on September 19, 2006.

The court also slapped a fine of Rs 11,4000 on the three and directed to give 70 per cent of the fine amount to the victim.
