Five persons were killed and four others injured, including one critically, when their vehicle fell into a gorge near Dugli Nalla in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, about 400 Km from here today, police said.
The accident occurred when the driver, while giving a way to another vehicle on Jot Road near Dugli Nalla, lost control and rammed it against the hill and later rolled down into the gorge, killing five persons on the spot.
The occupants of the vehicle were returning from Holi to Palampur after the Manimahesh pilgrimage.

The injured were rushed to a hospital in Chamba and relatives of the deceased have been informed, police said.
The condition of one of the injured person is stated to be critical, while three others are in serious condition, they said.
