Absconder arrested in Kathua

A man was arrested Tuesday on charges of theft in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

Saddam Hussain, a resident of Surjian Chalong village in Bani tehsil, was declared an absconder by a local court on August 14, a police spokesman said.

He said Hussain was involved in a theft case some months ago. Hussain was arrested by a special team following specific information, the spokesman added.
