A Delhi High Court panel dealing with ambient air quality inside its premises today submitted a report saying ducts of two blocks of the court have been cleaned completely in June while those in the third, extension block, would be fully cleaned by September.
The report was placed before a bench of justices Badar Durrez Ahmed and Sanjeev Sachdeva which had on May 28 asked its Maintenance and Construction Committee to immediately carry out necessary work with regard to resolving of the poor air quality in its premises.

The panel said that since it requires minimum 15 days for cleaning the ducts of the first, second and third floors of the extension block, the entire cleaning work of the AC ducting will be completed by September this year.
The report was filed in a PIL which, apart from dealing with air pollution in Delhi, stated that the air inside the court premises was highly polluted, leading to health problems for lawyers, litigants, judges and court staff.
The court listed the matter for further hearing on July 29.
Meanwhile, Delhi government's standing counsel Raman Duggal, on behalf of Public Works Department (PWD) and Forest Department, told the court that the trees cut by these two authorities are given to crematoriums free of cost and they do not earn any revenue from them.
The submission was made in response to the court's query of May 28 as to what PWD and the Forest Department do with the trees they cut and how much revenue they earn by selling them.
