Accused in murder case detained under Goondas Act

Four accused lodged in the Central Jail here in connection with a double murder case were today detained under the Goondas Act.

The accused--Sadiq Ali, Askar Ali, Manzoor Ali and Sheik Ali-- were arrested in connection with the murder of one Mohammed Bashya, a beef merchant and his friend Habib Mohammed, on November one.

Business rivalry was said to be the reason behind the murder.

City police commissioner, A Amalraj ordered their detention under the Goondas Act, police said.
