ACMA welcomes Tamil Nadu's move to set up an 'auto city'

Automotive component manufacturers has welcomed the Tamil Nadu government's decision to set up a an exclusive auto city in the state.

According to the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), the policy bolster the confidence of the industry in Tamil Nadu and would attract fresh investments.

Commenting on it, ACMA President Harish Lakshman said:" Announcement of new Automobile & Auto Component Policy 2014 is indeed a welcome step. We hope that the policy will further bolster the confidence of the automotive industry in the state."

The new policy envisages setting up of India's first auto city, which would cater domestic and global auto manufacturers in component designing, prototyping and manufacturing.
 

Moreover, ACMA has been nominated as member of the Automotive Consultative Committee of the state.
