Central Vigilance Commissioner K V Chowdary today appealed to the Andhra Bank authorities to shift its headquarters to Machilipatnam from Hyderabad.
He was speaking at a program to celebrate 93rd foundation day of the bank, which was first set up in the city.
Chowdary, who was the chief guest, said that Dr Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitharamayya established the Andhra Bank in Machilipatnam for the development of the region.
Later its headquarters was shifted, but now it should move back here, he said.
