Barbie-inspired fashion line to be launched

Toy manufacturer Mattel is launching three Barbie fashion collections.

The company has teamed up with US labels Lord & Taylor, Wildfox and Forever 21 to reproduce some of the doll's iconic looks from the Fifties, Eighties and Nineties respectively, for their ready-to-wear collections, reported Women's Wear Daily online.

The collection for Forever 21 - consisting of 90s-inspired sportswear, sleepwear, outerwear, cosmetics and accessories - will be available from stores and online from September 5.

Lord and Taylor's sleepwear-based range will be available from September 14.

The Wildfox range of 80s-inspired designs is the last to go on sale on November 15.
