A motorcycle-borne youth was killed and his pillion rider was seriously injured when their bike collided with a jeep near village Pure Prem on Amethi-Gauriganj road here, police said.
Rajesh Kumar (18) of Arjunpur village died on the spot and his pillion rider Suresh Kumar (22) was seriously injured, In-charge SHO of Amethi D K Shahi said.
The injured has been admitted to CHC here, he added.
The driver was caught by passersby and handed him over to the police.
