A delegation of BJP legislators today met Lt Governor Najeeb Jung and urged him to relax the age criteria for the guest teacher recruitment tests to be held by the Delhi government.
The delgeation was led by Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta.
"The LG today conveyed his consent for giving age relaxation to guest teachers in their eligibility as teachers in the Delhi government service," Gupta claimed.

The BJP MLAs also urged Jung for ensuring weightage to guest teachers for their work experience and free coaching facility for them so that they could be better equipped to take the written examination for regular jobs of teachers conducted by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board.
Gupta also sought the Lt Governor's intervention in the case of 17 guest teachers whose services were allegedly "terminated" for participating in protests in April related to gues teachers.
