Catholic nuns robbed in Nepal

Besides the cash, they snatched a camera and a mobile phone from the nuns of the St Joseph's Convent in Godavari village, they said.
The robbers in their early 20s broke the window of the first floor of the three storey building and locked four nuns and a maid before running with the cash and goods, police said, adding armed with khukuris they threatened to kill the nuns if they make any sound.
The nuns had collected the money to pay labourers for the ongoing renovation works at the convent and a part of it was meant for distributing as salary to the teachers of Shanti Rani School run by the convent, Chirendra Satyal, executive board member of Nepal Cluny Society, said.
