Class 9 girl raped in UP's Bulandshahr

A class 9 student was allegedly raped by the son of a former village pradhan in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district, following which the accused was arrested, the police said today.

The girl had gone to answer nature's call yesterday when the accused allegedly raped her in Rajapur village, around 40 km from Bulandshahr city, SP (City) Praveen Ranjan Singh said.

Following a complaint by a kin of the girl, an FIR was lodged and the accused was arrested, the officer said.
